What it involves
A stump grinder breaks the stump down below ground level into chippings. The chippings can be left to backfill the hole or cleared away, depending on what you plan to do with the area.
All our work is carried out by NPTC-qualified staff to BS3998, and we're fully insured.
Common reasons people call us
- You want to replant, lay turf or build a patio
- The stump is a trip hazard or in the way of mowing
- It keeps sending up new growth
- To tidy up after a tree has been felled
Every job is different
Stumps vary a lot in size, root spread and position. Access for the grinder, nearby walls, paths, pipes or cables, and how deep you need it ground all affect the job.
That's why we don't give prices over the phone. Tom will visit, assess the job in person and give you honest advice and a fixed written quote — free and with no obligation.
